Cocktail Couple: Rob & Sara Sergent of Alpine Distilling, Part 2
We continue our conversation with Rob and Sara Sergent of Alpine Distilling. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, they were homeless, jobless and pregnant—and they say it was one of the best things to happen to them. They embrace it and practically recommend such adversity for a couple in business. We’ll hear how Rob encourages Sara to branch out in the business and supports her in pretty much everything—including being a distiller herself. Sara says she works well when there’s a challenge, and Rob seems happy to throw challenges her way. And if you didn’t hear part one, Rob will be making references to how he had to throw out 50 gallons of an expensive, experimental recipe. (Seems that neither he nor the world were ready for sarsaparilla whiskey.)
